CATEGORY 1: GENERAL & PRE-LAUNCH
When Would AutoRide officially commence operations?
We are launching and starting full commercial transit and logistics operations nationwide on July 1, 2026. You can join our pre-launch waitlist today as a Driver Partner or a Prospective Rider at www.autoride.ng to receive priority access and early-bird benefits.
How does the “Bargain” feature work in the app?
We believe in fair, human-to-human negotiation. When you request a ride, the system calculates a recommended baseline fare (F_base) based on the exact distance and vehicle class:
F_base =Starting Base Fare + Distance in KM x R_km
Using our interactive Bargain Toggle, you can bid up to 20% lower than the base rate, and the driver can counter-offer up to 20% higher. This establishes an equitable range:
Acceptable Bargain Range = [0.8 x F_base, 1.2 x F_base
Once you and your driver agree directly in the app, the price is locked. There are zero hidden surge-pricing algorithms!
Can I book an AutoRide without internet data or offline?
Yes! We have built a robust offline booking engine for times when network coverage fluctuates. By dialing our dedicated USSD code *800*200# from any mobile phone in Nigeria, you can book a ride, match with nearby verified drivers, and track your trip status without using an internet data bundle.
CATEGORY 2: FOR RIDERS (COMMUTERS)
how do i know my driver is on the way?
If you book via the AutoRide mobile app, you will receive an instant push notification the moment a nearby driver accepts your bargained rate. From there, you can track their exact GPS vehicle location in real-time on our interactive map. If you book offline using our USSD engine (*800*200#), you will receive an automated, instant SMS text containing your matched driver’s full name, active mobile number, vehicle class, license plate number, and estimated arrival time.
what should i do if i left something in the Autoride Vehicle?
Don’t panic. We have quick recovery protocols in place:
For Secure Logistics/Parcels: All physical shipments are logged with active tracking IDs. If a package is unclaimed, contact our central command team at support@autoride.ng or visit our Ilorin Onboarding Hub where recovered items are securely logged.
If you booked via the Mobile App: Open your app menu, navigate to Trip History, select the trip in question, and tap Contact Driver. This allows you to call the driver directly (up to 24 hours post-trip) to coordinate a safe return.
If you booked via USSD (*800*200#): Locate the automated confirmation SMS you received. Call our 24/7 dedicated helpline at +234-800-AUTORIDE (+234-800-28867433) and provide our support desk with your phone number and the driver’s license plate number listed in that SMS.
Is my data and document secure?
Absolutely. At Autoride, we handle your privacy with strict financial-grade security. All personal data, registration uploads, driver’s licenses, and NIN biometric verification details are fully encrypted and stored securely using our Google Firebase cloud backend infrastructure. We comply strictly with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) standards. Furthermore, your billing information is handled securely via Paystack; our platform never stores your private debit card numbers or bank credentials on our local servers.
What is the difference between Keke Standard and Keke Chartered?
Keke Standard (Economy): A highly cost-effective option for daily short commutes where you share the tricycle with up to two other passengers heading in your direction. The cost is split among the occupants.
Keke Chartered (Exclusive Hire): You hire out all three passenger seats for your exclusive use. This is perfect for single passengers who want absolute privacy, custom non-stop routing, or extra space to safely transport large market luggage.

CATEGORY 4: SAFETY, COMPLIANCE & LOGISTICS
How do you verify your drivers and vehicles?
- Every single AutoRide driver partner undergoes mandatory in-person screening at our Ilorin Hub. This includes:
- Identity Verification: Integration with the NIMC registry to capture biometric NIN (National Identity Number) profiles.
- Vehicle Diagnostics: Physical inspection of brakes, tires, engine, seatbelts, and overall roadworthiness. Only fully certified and verified drivers are allowed onto the platform.
How does interstate passenger safety work?
- All cross-border interstate travel booked via our universal hub is strictly monitored. Every 14-seater coach and passenger vehicle complies with Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) regulations. Our app automatically compiles an FRSC-Compliant Digital Passenger Manifest before departure, ensuring passenger manifests are digitally archived, shared with local transit registries, and tracked in real-time by our central command center.
